MPG update

another GIManiPulation:

Yay! Nearly to the 35MPG mark! 34.9877 miles per gallon, which is pretty much within the margin of error for the automatic shutoff and the inaccuracies of the trip-o-meter, so let's call it 35mpg. And that's mixed driving! SWEET.
Perhaps some of the good milage is driving slow, which has its advantages. Pretty much everyone has been passes you when you go five under, so i get to play a game where i glance in my rear view mirror and try to get what kind of car is coming up behind. I'm pretty good at it, even surprising myself. The only car that has fooled me is an older Subaru Legacy, which looked like a late eighties Accord to me. It looked too TOUGH to be a Honda, but i couldn't think of anything better. And of course one can't tell if an upcoming full size truck is a Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon or pickup (using Chevy as an example)... and some Mercury/Ford or Plymouth/Dodge twins can be tough to distinguish.
When we lived in England, we'd ride to school every day on our bicycles - well... i wouldn't ride TO SCHOOL since i was home schooled, but i'd go along with Phoebe and JJ often. Well, JJ and i, being males and all, would race ahead, whooping, doing wheelies and bunny hops, and then have to stop and wait for Phoebe to catch up on her powder blue little-wheel three speed which was so dorky it was kind of cool. We'd sit there chatting about Kevin Lomax (not his real name, can't remember real name) who was a huge bully and would hassle JJ or model tanks or Phil Collins... when suddenly Phoebe would whoosh dangerously between us, wobbling shakily but somehow missing us by inches. "Phoebe-YAH!!!" we'd cry out in unison, and try to get her to stop so we could scold her. She'd later tell us that she worked hard to get up that momentum, and using the brakes destroyed all that hard work, and was something she was only prepared to do when absolutely necessary. We ridiculed her mercilessly, but now, striving for maximum fuel efficiency, i totally agree with her. Brakes destroy the momentum your engine has worked to create, converting it into heat. So i'm using my brakes as little as possible. And my car is so dorky it's almost cool.
I have named the car pending approval from Karen: Tambo... from... well... you know.

What is up with Houston’s little funny face? Is he just starting to take after his dad already?

You have to answer this silly question because it keeps spammers off my site:
What are the last three letters of Juanito's name?
